Once Noah creates an individual fitness plan, Sunset Beach residents
will have an easy time reaching their goals as the city is home to a
beautiful sandy beach, kayak and boat rental shops, ball courts and a
lush greenbelt.
Opportunities for Sports & Fitness in Sunset Beach
Though Sunset Beach is only about a mile and a half long, there are
plenty of sites to get into shape.
Nets set up on the beach make it easy to enjoy a fun game of volley
ball,an activity sure to keep your heart rate up.
On hot days, consider renting a canoe, inflatable raft, kayak or pedal
boat to use in the nearby bay. Hyrdo bikes and gopeds are also available
for rental for tooling around town or getting a hearty workout.
Sunset Beach is also a popular destination for windsurfing and kiting.
The town features a community center, which offers a basketball court if
you really want to get your blood pumping.
A lush greenbelt located in the heart of the community's downtown, which
once served as the right of way for the Los Angeles Red Car, is a
perfect spot for yoga, pilates or mediation.
Each year, the Sunset Beach Community Association holds several annual
events, including the mile-long Community Garage Sale. Take a jog past
the
merchandise and come back for the items you'd like to buy! The
association also holds monthly beach cleanups, an activity which will
get your blood
circulating and keep our beaches sparkling.
